1. अपने current measurements लें
Chest या bust, waist, hip और जरूरत के हिसाब से shoulder, inseam तथा garment length measure करें. Tape शरीर पर flat रहे, बहुत tight नहीं. जो innerwear या base layer आमतौर पर पहनेंगे, उसी के साथ measure करें.
Measurements note में date भी लिखें. पुराने numbers या किसी दूसरी brand के size पर भरोसा न करें.
2. Brand का size chart पढ़ें
एक brand का M दूसरे brand के M जैसा नहीं होता. Product page पर दिए exact chart से compare करें. देखें कि chart body measurement दिखा रहा है या finished garment measurement.
Kurta, jacket और dress में ease जरूरी हो सकती है. Stretch fabric और non-stretch fabric का fit अलग होगा. अगर chart unclear है, seller से product-specific measurement पूछें.
3. Product description पूरा पढ़ें
इन details को खोजें:
- fabric composition
- lining है या नहीं
- stretch कितना है
- closure zip, hook, button या elastic है
- garment length
- included pieces
- wash care
- model का size और height, अगर दिया हो
“Silk look” और pure silk एक बात नहीं. “Set” में कौन-कौन से pieces हैं, यह listing में साफ होना चाहिए.
4. Customer photos और reviews सही तरह पढ़ें
सिर्फ star rating न देखें. अपनी जरूरत जैसे “lining”, “transparent”, “colour”, “size”, “shrink” और “return” शब्द खोजें. Customer photos अलग lighting और body proportions में product का बेहतर context दे सकती हैं.
एक review से final decision न लें. Repeated pattern देखें. कई लोग same stitching issue या colour difference बता रहे हैं, तो उसे serious signal मानें.
5. Seller और product source check करें
Marketplace पर brand और seller अलग हो सकते हैं. Seller name, rating, invoice, authenticity information और return address देखें. बहुत कम price हो तो product details extra ध्यान से पढ़ें.
Payment page से पहले website address, secure connection और contact information check करें. Unknown link से payment करने से बचें.
6. Return और exchange policy order से पहले पढ़ें
Return window, exchange-only rule, pickup fee, original tags, packaging और refund method देखें. Sale, innerwear, altered clothing और customised products की अलग policy हो सकती है.
Policy का screenshot या order confirmation रखना useful है. National Consumer Helpline की online shopping guidance भी return policy और seller information पढ़ने पर जोर देती है.
7. Delivery date को event date से compare करें
Wedding, farewell, Diwali या Navratri के लिए last-minute order risk बढ़ाता है. Delivery के बाद alteration, exchange और wash test के लिए समय रखें. “Expected delivery” guarantee न भी हो सकती है.
Event outfit के लिए backup plan रखें. Existing wardrobe का एक look पहले से ready होना stress कम करता है.
8. Outfit आपके wardrobe में कैसे fit होगा, यह देखें
नया top कम से कम दो bottoms के साथ चले तो खरीद ज्यादा useful होगी. Saree blouse को एक से ज्यादा sarees के साथ पहन सकें तो value बढ़ती है. सिर्फ product image में पूरा styled look देखकर हर accessory खरीदने की जरूरत नहीं.

- colour चेहरे और दूसरे कपड़ों के साथ कैसा लग सकता है

10. Package खुलते ही सही checks करें
Unboxing के समय tags न हटाएं. सही product, size, colour, stitching, stains, smell, included pieces और invoice check करें. Natural light में colour देखें. Return का chance हो तो कपड़ा wash या alter न करें.
Try-on करते समय बैठें, हाथ उठाएं और चलें. सिर्फ mirror में खड़े होकर fit final न करें. White या light fabric में daylight transparency भी check करें.
